Canadian HIV Cure Enterprise (CanCURE)

The Canadian HIV Cure Enterprise (CanCURE) is a research collaboratory focused on studying HIV persistence during antiretroviral therapy and developing strategies towards a sustainable HIV remission. CanCURE’s innovative scientific program is supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

Canadian Network on Hepatitis C (CanHepC Network)

CanHepC is a national hepatitis C (HCV) research network linking over 100 researchers, health practitioners, community members, trainees, policy and decision makers from across Canada as well as international partners.

Canadian Observational Cohort Collaboration (CANOC)

The CANOC Centre brings together a diverse team to capitalize on the unique and robust CANOC database, maximizing the quality and breadth of the health services and policy research generated. The CANOC cohort, which consists of eleven clinical cohorts from British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland and Labrador, provides researchers with the analytic power to conduct large and detailed analyses of HIV treatment outcomes that would not be possible within individual cohorts.

Canadian Pediatric AIDS Research Group (CPARG)

The Canadian Pediatric & Perinatal HIV/AIDS Research Group brings together healthcare providers and researchers involved in pediatric and perinatal HIV in Canada, with the mandate of optimizing research, surveillance, clinical care, and prevention, of pediatric HIV infection in Canada.

CIHR Centre for REACH in HIV/AIDS (REACH 2.0)

Reach 2.0 is a nation wide, innovative, virtual laboratory for intervention research, participatory evaluation, and applied program science in HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, and other sexually transmitted and bloodborne infections.

Driftpile First Nation

The Driftpile First Nation is a First Nation with a reserve, Driftpile River 150, located on the southern shore of the Lesser Slave Lake on Alberta Highway 2 in Northern Alberta. The band has approximately 1200 members.

Elevate NWO

Sucker Creek First Nation

Sucker Creek First Nation is a Cree First Nations band government whose reserve community is located along the southwestern shore of Lesser Slave Lake near Enilda, Alberta. It is a Treaty 8 First Nation. The band had a registered population of 2,099 and almost 6,000 hectares of reserve land.

The Saskatchewan HIV/AIDS Research Endeavour (SHARE)

SHARE was founded in 2011 as a research cooperative between research clinicians working at the University of Saskatchewan. Over the last number of years, the people at SHARE worked hard to expand this cooperative into a nonprofit research group that was focused on building research capacity in Saskatchewan and providing evidence-based support and solutions to key issues impacting HIV treatment, care, and preventative programming throughout the province.

St. Paul’s Hospital Infectious Diseases Clinic

The Division of Infectious Diseases at St. Paul’s is comprised of a faculty of seven clinicians (including four associate members). The program provides general infectious disease consultation. Areas of particular expertise include: HIV and opportunistic infection management; HIV and hepatitis B or C co-infection; HIV and tuberculosis co-infection; human papilloma virus (HPV) infection; invasive fungal infections; and infection control.

Tallcree First Nation

Located in northern Alberta, near Fort Vermillion, is the Anishinabe Tallcree First Nation. There are 7 Reserves which make up this First Nation that covers an area of 9,387 total hectares or 23,195 total acres. Total population is 1,044, with most (547) living away from the Reserves, while 493 live on-reserve, and 4 live on crown land.

The Canadian Association for HIV Research (CAHR)

CAHR also engages people living with HIV/AIDS and AIDS service organizations in ongoing dialogue and information exchange to ensure that HIV/AIDS research remains responsive to the epidemic and its stakeholders.

CATIE

As Canada’s official knowledge broker for HIV and hepatitis C, CATIE strengthens Canada’s response to HIV and hepatitis C by bridging research and practice. CATIE connects healthcare and community-based service providers with the latest science, and promotes good practices for prevention and treatment programs.
