Dr. Caroline Cameron is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Victoria and an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington. Dr. Cameron completed her undergraduate and graduate training in Biochemistry at the University of Victoria and her postdoctoral training in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington as a CIHR-funded Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Cameron was a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Washington before returning to the University of Victoria as a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair.

Dr. Cameron’s research interests focus on the causative agent of syphilis, Treponema pallidum, and include multi’omic analyses of host–pathogen interactions, identification of novel diagnostic biomarkers, and vaccine development.

Dr. Cameron joined the CTN in 2022.
