Dr. Pierre Côté is an adjoint clinical professor in the Social and Preventative Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Montreal. He is also a member of the scientific committee, Journées québécoises VIH

He obtained his Doctorate in Medicine and became part of the Licensed Medical Council of Canada at Laval University.

He is serving as co-investigator for two CTN studies: CTN 222 and CTN 247. The first is investigating why liver disease progresses more rapidly in people co-infected with HIV and hepatitis C despite the use of highly active antiretroviral therapy. The second is aiming to gain a better understanding of the factors behind a slower than normal progression of HIV in a small portion of those living with the disease.
