HIV and Aging: From Cohorts and Biobanks to Interventional Trials

 

Join this one-hour session with CTN Clinical Care Management Core Co-lead, Dr. Madeleine Durand, who will discuss her ongoing research into aging in people living with HIV.

Dr. Durand is one of the principal investigators for CTN 272, a study investigating accelerated aging in people living with HIV. In particular, the study looks at cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Durand will present her ongoing research into premature aging associated with the sustained activation of the immune system in chronic HIV infection, and how this research can help further understanding of many aging-related health issues.
