Dr. Silvia Guillemi holds a number of various clinical and medical positions in Vancouver. She is (1) the Director of the Clinical Education and Training program at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, (2) the Assistant Medical Director in the John Ruedy Immunodeficiency Clinic (IDC), (3) an Associate Member in the Division of AIDS and (4) a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine in the University of British Columbia (UBC), (5) a Consultant Physician at the Dr. Peter Centre and (6) an active staff member in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in St. Paul’s Hospital.

Dr. Guillemi earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English at the Cambridge Institute of English Culture and her Medical Degree at La Plata University in Argentina. She completed her Residency program at Gandulfo Hospital and UBC Internal Medicine.

Dr. Guillemi’s research focuses on the management and treatment of HIV. She investigates the needs of people living with HIV across the housing spectrum. She is involved in researching a HPV VLP vaccine in a cohort of HIV positive girls and women.
