Dr. Cecilia Costiniuk is an associate professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at McGill University and an associate investigator in the Infectious Diseases and Immunity in Global Health Program at the McGill University Health Centre.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at the University of Western Ontario, and also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy at the Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Costiniul then continued on to medical school at McMaster University followed by training in internal medicine and infectious diseases, and a master’s degree in microbiology and immunology at the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Costiniuk was a CTN Postdoctoral Fellow from 2012 to 2014, during which time her supervisor was Dr. Jonathan Angel. She has contributed to six CTN research publications since 2015. She is the principal investigator on CTNPT 028: Safety, tolerability and effect on immune function of cannabinoids.
