Dr. Siddharth Kogilwaimath was born in India and grew up in Brunei in South East Asia. He did a part of his medical training at International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur and completed his medical school at Dalhousie University, Halifax. After completing his training in Internal Medicine in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, he moved to Winnipeg to pursue his fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Manitoba. He has a Diploma in Clinical Epidemiology through Memorial University of Newfoundland. After a year of working locum positions, he accepted a faculty position in Saskatoon at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016, where he currently resides.

He is heavily involved in the care of people living with HIV and has a keen interest in HIV and HCV care as well as bridging health inequities for vulnerable populations including PWID. He is currently involved in providing HIV education for primary care practitioners as a means to improve knowledge amongst primary care providers, reduce stigma and improve access to HIV care.
